So - in a word. My wieners ROCK!!!

My buddy Traci saw a listing on Craigslist about Wiener Dog races at the Multnomah County fair last week. I emailed and got Mike and Cooper signed up.

All of the "newbies" - those who had never competed before, raced after 2:00. There were two heats, two semi finals and the finals.

Cooper came in second in his heat. Mike came in first in his. In the semi finals, Mike came in 2nd and Cooper third - moving them both into the finals.

Right off the bat, Mike GOT IT.

Gates open, Mamas at the other end, RUN!!!

Cooper, I think got lucky, because he always
had another wiener next to him who got it, and he chased that one to the finish line. So it was a long day, I was on the Portland news being interviewed about my wiener racing strategy. Its like :10 seconds long. (If you want to see it Josh got it off Tivo and I can email it to you.)

So in the finals Mike came in Second - Cooper was fourth or fifth. The top three got ribbons. So it was a fun day. I don't know if I have laughed that hard in a very very long time!! :)
