I LOVE MY JOB!!! I can not tell you how nice it is to be working again... I am a worker. I love doing a good job. I love being busy. My parents obviously did a good job at instilling good work ethics into me huh? lol
I love being around all the creativity too. Eileen Collins is the creative director and she is beyond amazing to be around. I am hoping her talent will rub off on me if I stare at her create long enough. She and Bev sit around the table and whip out such beatiful projects - I am in awe on a daily basis. Bev has been so great about teaching me the intricacies of stamping - heat guns and all! :)
It's so nice to be appreciated and liked. Its not something I NEED, but it is something I like. I don't think a day has gone by that someone hasn't told me that they were happy I was there. Its refreshing I tell you. And its genuine - that means a lot to me.
Sucky parts exist though - not with the job, but with the situation. It is over 70 miles away from my house (our first that we just bought last Christmas), and I drive a V6 4x4 Jeep Liberty (yes I know, I'm one of "those people") but I LOVE my car, my first real purchase as an adult! And I bought it all by myself, no man there speaking for me... hehe. I digress. So, I am commuting. I thought it would be ok, but I really actually miss my husband!! And he misses me too! (insert awww... here...) He actually told me he wants me to buy a more fuel efficient vehicle, maybe even a hybrid!! You know he misses me if he is willing to entertain THAT thought!! lol
So I need to get up to speed at work so I can seriously do the 4 10's thing and be home on Thursday nights.
HUGE THANKS to everyone who has been so wonderful during this challenging time for me. I know there are so many worse things going on in this country and this world right now, and I am not one to draw attention to myself for anything even partially "Woah is me" like. But I know there are so many people who had my back and were cheering me on through all this and for that I am ever so grateful.
Love and Hugs always.
